HVAF Board Member treats our veterans to lunch at Skyline Club!
HVAF Board Member and Army veteran Danny Portee goes above and beyond to take care of his fellow Heroes in need.
He does this in a variety of ways: through financial gifts, bringing in items for the pantry, sponsoring Operation Alpha, and even providing special meals.
Each holiday season, Danny and his company, Professional Management Enterprises (PME), host a group of HVAF’s veterans living in our transitional and permanent housing at the locally famous Skyline Club near Monument Circle. With incredible views of the city, delicious food to savor, and wonderful gifts to bring home – it’s always bound to be a memorable day for our veterans!
“In the Army, there’s a principle that you never leave your fellow soldier behind. This is a philosophy that I’ve carried into my civilian life after retiring from the Army and is why PME strongly supports initiatives that focus on veterans,” Danny said. “Veterans are the cornerstone of our society and at PME, we value the contributions and sacrifices that these courageous men and women have made for our country.”
In November, Danny & PME made sure HVAF’s VetWorks graduates felt celebrated with a delicious Thanksgiving lunch. And in December, he continued to celebrate HVAF’s veterans by hosting a Christmas lunch.
