Last month, The Home Depot Foundation teamed up with HVAF to make repairs and renovations to one of our transitional properties.
Through a grant from The Home Depot Foundation, Team Depot, Home Depot’s associate volunteer force, stepped up to help. Dozens of volunteers spent the day overhauling the outdoor area, including removing a current deck and replacing it with a patio, replacing a walkway, and landscaping. The improvements will give the veterans who live there a safe and usable outdoor area to spend time.
District Community Captain & Carmel Home Depot Manager Matt Rice has helped HVAF for the last 15 years with more than 60 projects.
“I think our team really enjoys the ability to leave at the end of the day and see the noticeable change of what we’ve done,” Matt said.
