The Indiana Department of Revenue continues to donate their time, talent, and treasure to support HVAF’s homeless veterans.
They work with HVAF’s Volunteer Coordinator Audrey Hopkins Long to best serve Indy’s homeless veterans. One way in particular is improving one of HVAF’s housing properties. They have mowed the lawn, planted flowers, and removed weeds. Because of this, HVAF’s homeless veterans have a beautiful place to live.
“It has been a tremendous blessing to partner with DOR in serving our veterans these past two summers,” Audrey said. “They always come in with smiling faces and generous hearts, and it means to world not only to me– but to our veterans as well.”
As part of the State Employees Community Campaign last year, DOR Commissioner Adam Krupp chose to financially support HVAF. Subsequently, DOR raised lots of money for us through bake sales, jeans day, and other fundraisers.
“We feel fortunate and are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to cultivate a partnership with HVAF of Indiana,” Adam said. “Our team spirit and enthusiasm for serving others continues to grow with each opportunity to support the organization and those it serves. We can never do enough to thank those who sacrificed for us, but we hope our contributions make a difference.”
Thank you all for everything you have done and continue to do for Indiana’s homeless veterans!
According to their website, The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) has been serving Indiana and its diverse population and business community since 1947. Their team’s duties include processing tax returns and completing audits for thousands of Hoosiers.
