Employment Specialist

The Employment Specialist at HVAF works with veterans to help them achieve employment stability and self-sufficiency. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, providing career development support through the VetWorks program, leading workshops, and maintaining client records. Fleet Coordinator & Safety Assistant

The role of Fleet Coordinator and Safety Assistant involves managing the agency's fleet, ensuring vehicle safety, cleanliness, and functionality, coordinating repairs, and maintaining travel logs. VetWorks Employment Specialist

The VetWorks Employment Specialist works collaboratively with team members and community partner agencies to identify and assist clients aiming for employment stability. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of Phase I clients, aiding in career development, and conducting workshops and seminars through the VetWorks program. The role involves active community engagement to place veterans in suitable roles, maintaining client records in HMIS, and collaborating with Workforce Development for program adjustments. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (BSW or MSW preferred), a valid Indiana driver’s license, completion of a background screening, strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, and knowledge of community resources impacting homelessness, substance abuse, and mental illness. Case Manager

The role of Case Manager is a full-time position, dedicated to supporting veterans and their families in achieving optimal quality of life. This role involves collaborating with team members and community partners to assist clients in reaching housing stability. Key responsibilities include conducting client intakes, managing records, coordinating activities for client goal achievement, and participating in community meetings. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with preference for social work qualifications, and strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and time management skills. Donor and Volunteer Relations Coordinator

The Donor and Volunteer Relations Coordinator ensures donors who invest their money and volunteers who invest their time into the agency are tracked, recognized, and successfully retained through various stewardship efforts. The position serves as the database administrator and is responsible for entering donations, volunteer activity, and sending acknowledgement correspondence. This position recruits, trains, and manages volunteers (groups and individuals) to support HVAF’s Veterans Community Center and housing properties.
