MEET BEN
Q: What do you do at HVAF?
A: My job here at HVAF is the Volunteer and Donor Relations Coordinator. What that means is I work with individuals and organizations in our community to come to help our veterans by having them come and volunteer in our pantry or financially.
Q: Why do you like working for HVAF (so far)?
A: I like working here at HVAF because I get to work with some amazing community members who want to make a difference in our veterans’ lives.
Q: Why do you want to serve veterans?
A: I want to serve veterans because they served to protect our country. They gave years of their lives to defending our freedoms, and I want to do what I can to make sure they are taken care of here at home.
Q: When you are not working, where can we find you?
A: You can either find me on an airplane, getting ready to start an adventure, or at the movies!
Q: Anything else you would like to share?
A: Get involved! If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, send them to our food pantry on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
VOLUNTEER FAQ
Q: How can I sign up to volunteer?
A: You can e-mail me at BDube@hvaf.org , we have a bunch of different ways you can make an impact!
Q: Are there any off-site (at my workplace, school, church, home, etc.) volunteer opportunities?
A: Yes- making hygiene kits and/or snack packs, and writing thank you notes are wonderful ways for groups to work together on their own schedule
Q: Can people under 18 years old volunteer?
A: Yes! Anyone under the age of 18 needs a parent or guardian present while volunteering for HVAF
